| Gabinete de Dissertação de Mestrados do Departamento de Bioengenharia (GaDM-DBE) | GaDM-DBE mission is to support the activity of the DBE articulating the offer and search for topics of individual projects that aim at a Master degree in Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering and Nanosystems and Pharmaceutical Engineering. The GaDM-DBE offers several opportunities allowing students to develop their Master thesis in an exciting environment.

| Biologic Engineering Student Kernel | Association of students currently enrolled in the Biological Engineering M.Sc.. The mission of this association is to nurture student interaction, create discussion forums, increase cooperative studying, organize extra-curricular activities, meetings and workshops. | LTI (Information Technologies Laboratory) | The mission of the Information Technologies Laboratory is to provide an informatic infrasctruture for students to interact with computers (create and edit reports and dissertations, commit simulations, design structures with CAD etc) be able to print work, in most types of paper and in any size, lend projectors for presentations, provide CDs and DVDs for distribution and lecture courses and workshops to help students take the most out of informatic resources. |  | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Library | A Biblioteca do IST (BIST) existe desde 1911, data da criação do Instituto Superior Técnico, sucessor em parte do Instituto Industrial e Comercial de Lisboa que teve a sua origem na segunda metade do Sec. XIX. Caracteriza-se por ser uma biblioteca universitária especializada nas áreas de Engenharias, Ciências e Tecnologias possuidora de um património documental que, enriquecido ao longo dos anos, se assume como um dos mais importantes ao nível nacional. De acordo com o Regulamento de Organização e de Funcionamento dos Serviços de Natureza Administrativa e de Apoio Técnico do Instituto Superior Técnico, à Área de Bibliotecas compete a preservação, enriquecimento e o tratamento técnico do património bibliográfico e documental do IST, o apoio ao ensino e à investigação e o prosseguimento de uma actividade cultural própria. É dirigida por um Coordenador que reporta hierarquicamente ao Director Adjunto para as Bibliotecas, cuja nomeação é feita pelo Presidente do IST. |
