Invited Lecture!!! Eng. Marco Vala, Hitachi Vantara

It is my pleasure to announce that on the 27th we will have an invited lecture by Eng. Marco Vala, from Hitachi Vantara. HV has dozens of huge international clients, handle from "normal" to really big data, and are one of the world leads in data science and data integration. InfoVis plays an important role in many of their solutions. So, if you want to see how InfoVis is used in a real-life setting (one of the kinds of jobs you can find in this area), be sure to attend!
We're going to do this in the videoconferencing rooms so that students from both campus can attend. To sync the schedules of both Al and TP, this lecture will start at 10:00 *sharp*, and end at 11h00. The rooms will be 0.20 in Pav. Informática II (Alameda, where the dept. study room is), and room 2-N1.5 at Taguspark.

Just a quick reminder: the deadline is the upcoming 26th of November. As for DearData, you'll have to hand over the physical artifacts to me in class, and upload a document explaining/describing it on Fenix until the end-of-day. As you know, you can get up to 1 extra grade point for this (the final 0.1 if you end up presenting your thing in class the next week).
