Here are some visualization examples where you may find some inspiration. We expect your work to have a similar level of complexity.

SEQIT: Visualizing Sequences of Interest in Eye Tracking Data

SEQIT is a visualization system designed for sequence analysis of eye tracking data. Using defined areas of interest (AOI), SEQIT aggregates fixations into AOI visits and presents sequences of AOI visits in a timeline. SEQIT supports comparison between multiple sequences and exploration of sequence patterns associated with user characteristics.

Meta Search: A Tool for Mass Analysis of Game Strategy

Meta Search is a tool designed to support mass audience analysis of strategies in DOTA 2 (a multiplayer online game). Meta Search specifically focuses on providing an easy to use visualization that helps players understand trends and anomalies in the Hero selection meta game of DOTA 2. Heroes were classified according to the roles they can potentially fulfil, and trends in these taxonomic groups were visualized using juxtaposed overview and detail views.

CoVis: Visualizing Character Class Collocation in Ancient Chinese Literature

A key statistic on the relationships between the words that appear in a text corpus is word collocation. If two words are to appear in close proximity, they can be said to be collocated, and therefore conceptually linked. CoVis is a visualization tool for aiding in the analysis of collocation data. It was developed specifically for supporting a Cultural Evolution of Religion Research Consortium (CERC) project that looks at the relationship between religion and culture in a specific corpus of ancient Chinese literature.

Buckets: Basketball Shot Visualization

Basketball fans are often interested in learning more about their favourite players and most tools today provide long tables of numbers to support these users. However, basketball is a spatial game and can benefit from visualizations to simplify and clarify the communication of a given player’s performance. Buckets does so by supporting viewing details about individual players, comparing multiple players, and exploring league trends through a variety of interactive charts. The focus is on shooting performance and includes three novel chart uses: a filterable shot chart, a simplified distance-from-hoop chart, and a left-right court position partitioned chart.
