In this presentation an overview will be presented on CFD simulations for ship resistance and propulsion. The main components for ship propulsion will be treated together with the major aspects that are important in the prediction of the flow around ships and propulsors. Representative examples of applications will be shown. The presentation will include the latest simulation results as carried out at the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN).
