Project Discussions and Functionality Check

The discussions will take place during the week of 17th April. Each group will be assigned a 20 minute slot. The schedule will be published shortly.

The functionality check will take place during the discussion. No functionality check is required before project delivery.

Regarding the submission, the students should refer to the published information.

Eng. Luís Lamela has provided some information about summer internships at Altice. Interested students may proceed as follows:

 

1) To declare their interest to participate sending e-mail to recrutamento@telecom.pt;

2) To monitor the linkedin and website of Altice Portugal, where specific internships and recruitment actions will be published.

REMINDER: Lecture on Tuesday, 28th March 10:00 - Lecture by Altice (Golabs.IoT)

As the students may know, the NB-IoT SIM cards used in LAB3 were provided by Altice, one of the main telecom operators in Portugal, which has been continuously supporting us since a few years ago. The lecture on Tuesday 28th March will be given by Eng. Luís Lamela from Altice (Golabs.IoT). The talk will focus IoT and 5G, namely the IoT solutions provided by mobile operators like Altice, i.e., NB-IoT (the network technology used in LAB3) and its evolution in 5G.


Note: The content of this lecture will also be subject to evaluation during the exam.
