[E#1]: General Information

The first exam will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8th, starting at 18h:30m, with a duration of 01h:30m.

The exam is divided in two parts. The first part has a duration of 00h:10m and consists of a set of multiple answer and true/false questions. The second part has a duration of 01h:20m and consists of two problems.
No IST exam form is required. The exam is to be completed strictly in the exam itself, in the spaces provided for that purpose, and no additional sheets are allowed.
The use of a calculator is forbidden in the first part and allowed in the second part. 
In the second part of the exam, it is allowed the use of a memory aid composed by an A4 paper sheet (single side, handwritten, no computer text or photocopies), containing all relevant information. Absolutely no formulas or constant values will be provided on the exam.
The enrolment in Fénix is now open and is absolutely mandatory. Otherwise, it is not possible to attend the exam.
The language of the exam will be English. 
The distribution of the students per classroom will be announced on Jan. 6th.

CommUnity Solves: Fundão is an event where teams of students and young professionals join together to develop solutions to real challenges proposed by real companies. The event will take place in city of Fundão, from 15-17 of November. The registration to the event is FREE (10 euro safety deposit to prevent no shows that will be refunded upon attendance). EMEn Course kick-off

Welcome to the 2019/20 course on "Economics and Energy Markets" (EMEn) at Técnico Lisboa.

This announcement intends to provide some basic initial information about the course.
The course schedule includes two Theory classes and one Problems class per week.
Theory classes will begin on Monday, Sep. 16th and Problems classes on Monday, Sep. 23th.
Many students come from abroad. As so, some classes will be presented in English:
Theory classes: 
Monday, 17:30-19:00, EA5 and Tuesday, 18:00-19:30, EA5 (both in English, Rui Castro) or
Monday, 15:30-17:00, EA4 and Wednesday, 14:00-15:30, EA4 (both in Portuguese, João Santana)
Problems classes:
Tuesday, 11:00-12:30, E2 or Thursday, 8:00-9:30, Q4.2 (both in English, Rui Castro) or
Monday, 17:00-18:30, E5 (in Portuguese, João Santana)
