A bit about Aptoide.

Aptoide is one of the top 3 global Android App Stores with more than 200 million unique users. In 2019, Aptoide created a joint venture for app stores in cars together with Faurecia Automotive, a french tier-1 company with a market cap of over $3B.

In 2017, Aptoide proposed the AppCoins blockchain protocol and raised $15 million USD through a public ICO (Initial Coin Offer). In 2016, Aptoide closed a series-A funding round of $4m from German, Chinese and Singaporean VCs.

In 2015, Aptoide was awarded the Tech Startup of the Year award by Portugal Ventures.

A bit about Paulo Trezentos.

Paulo got his MSc and Ph.D. in Computer Science in IST, Technical University of Lisbon.

Professor at ISCTE, currently on a leave of absence, teaches classes of "Operating Systems" and "Computer Architectures”.

As a researcher, participated in several European Research Projects.

Paulo is the author and co-author of 4 books about Linux and Open Source as well as numerous technical and dissemination articles.
