Next monday (2/12/2013) there will be a couple of events at IST, which should be interresting for the students of this course to attend.
Francisco Jorge Dias Oliveira Fernandes is defending is PhD thesis, at 10h30, in room PA-3 (Floor -1 of the Mathematics Building). His PhD work, involved compressed indexes, such as the ones we are currently studying.
Professor Maxime Crochemore, will be a member of the jury and will subsequently give an INESC-ID Distinguished Lecture at 17h00, check details at

The tests on the mooshak system where updated for the Boyer-Moore algorithm. Submissions where re-evaluated.
The outputs on the project description where also updated. A new version is available in mooshak. A new tgz file with the test is available in fenix.

Concerning frequent questions:
The size of the patterns can be arbitrarily large, so use dynamic memory and the pre-processing time is important.
The total amount of points in mooshak is 32.
