New lab "Turno"

There is a new lab "Turno". It will be at Tuesday from 13:30 to 15:30.

The students in first enrollment can now enroll in "Agrupamentos". It will work next week

Other students should wait some more time.

As expected, the lab enrollement of students not in first enrollment was cancelled. Those students should enroll in the second phase.

Access to all "Turnos"

From now on all students have access to all "Turnos" with available enrollment places

Today there are still some places in several "Turnos".

As written in this Web page, this Lab enrollment phase is only for students in the first enrollment. Students in other cases should wait for the second phase (probably only in the next week). The enrollment of students in this case already done will be cancelled soon.

Students should find a place within those available.

Dear Student

Welcome to SEE

You can find information about this course on the web page of SEE. According to Tecnico rules, the only official and valid information should be published in the web page. The information given in the class is not valid.

The rules of the course are published in the section “IPORTANT INFORMATION”. This cannot be changed according to one of the most important tecnico rules.

For Portuguese students, all pedagogic material is published in the section “PEDAGOGIC MATERIAL”. Non speaking Portuguese students will find some material there and should study using the MIT book “Electric Machinery” by Fitzgerald, Kingsley and Umans.

Even not mandatory, I recommend you to come to the theoretical and problem classes and study along the semester and not only in the end. This will help you understanding better the course. The consequence is that you will have less homework.

The laboratory classes are mandatory for students in first enrollment. These classes occur once in two weeks and are extremely difficult to replace occasional absences. Please don’t forget to come when scheduled. All problems related with these classes should be solved with your lab professor.

Because our school is changing procedures we will have surprises. The first already happened: students in first enrollment should enroll in the lab classes again since what was done was cancelled. The “turnos” can only have 16 students and not 32.

Please stay alert to web page of the course to the information that will appear during all the semester.

Any problem you have can be discussed with me during my “Tutorial time” that is published in the web page of SEE. Please don’t send me emails: I will not be able to answer all the emails.
