Quiz 4: The final Quiz will include the following class subjects: "Designing AR Systems" from Lesson 10, the entire Lesson 11, and Lesson 12 with the exception of sub-section ‘Graphics’ and 'System Design Guidelines’. Please note that exam evaluations will consider all subjects lectured in all 14 theoretical sessions.

Final Project Bundle: For the final lab assignment, you will need to submit a single *.zip that contains all the files allusive to your final project: (i) Unity project (source code and assets); (ii) user manual on how to run your Unity project; (iii) user study documents (includes user test script, informed consent form, demographic profile form, semi-structured interview sheet, user satisfaction and preference questionnaire, and any other standard questionnaire that fits your study (e.g., SUS, NASA-TLX, TAM, Cybersickness, etc)); (iv) pitch video 2 minute long; and (v) 2-page report describing your design decisions, implemented interaction techniques and interfaces. Please use and adapt the designated templates to build your bundle. Save everything in a single *.zip using the following file name: “RVir-FPBundle-Group-0*your_group_number_here*.zip”. Submit the zip file via WeTransfer to all laboratory faculty members by Sunday, February 6th until 23:59h. NOTE: only submissions in zip, with the correct file name and sent to the lecturer’s institutional e-mails will be considered.

- For those working with Oculus Quest, you can find a simple tutorial on how to upload an *.apk file to Quest that was written by Francisco Nicolau, a former student of this course.

- Please consider the following evaluation checklist so that you can better prepare your 2-page report and (possible) user study before any experiment is carried out. https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/downloadFile/845043405566625/RVir%20-%20Evaluation%20Checklist.xlsx

- Follow these simple guidelines to prepare a 2-minute video about your high-fidelity prototype. https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/downloadFile/845043405566683/RVir%20-%20Guidelines%20on%20Preparing%20a%20Video%20for%20a%20Conference.pdf

Final Discussions and Demonstrations

12 janeiro 2022, 18:33 Daniel Simões Lopes

The final discussions of your Research-Based Projects and demonstrations will take place on the 1st and 2nd of February at the White Room, Alameda Campus. All time slots will happen during the Tuesday and Wednesday lab shifts at Alameda. Groups from Taguspark must show up at Alameda.

Just 1 member of each group needs to insert their Group Number (not your name nor IST ID) in the following doodle form:

https://doodle.com/poll/h8g5vgaz67tf7ck6?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link

Please select your preferred time slot. Appointments will be settled on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Important Rules:
- show up on time!
- each discussion + demo will take approximately half an hour (~30 min.);
- all members of the group must attend, otherwise non attending students will score 0.0 in the discussion;
- make sure you bring all materials necessary (e.g., VR or AR headset, smartphones, laptops, AR targets, charged batteries, cords, etc etc) so that you can deliver a valid demonstration of your high-fidelity prototype;
- demonstrations presented without a requested headset and only through video and/or running on a laptop will score 0.0;
- try to dodge Murphy’s Law: make proper arrangements to certify that everything is working properly before the appointed discussion time;
- (only in case you do not wish to conduct a user study) after the discussion you should make sure that you return all the lent materials in proper conditions, with no missing parts, no broken items or missing/damaged packaging.

We wish you the best of luck!
