Equipment Return - Part II

Once again, we ask for students to return any type of lab equipment (e.g., Aryzon, Quest, Quest 2, Pico) that they still have in their possession.
All returning equipment must be delivered at the front desk of INESC-ID Alameda on behalf of Prof. Pedro Belchior.

Exam - new rule from the School's Pedagogical Council

Yesterday (Feb. 11th) the Pedagogical Council of our school just notified us of the following rule:
"When Students are prevented from taking Exams because they test positive or are in prophylactic isolation, they will have the opportunity to take the Exams in the Special Exam Season, for which they must apply to the Graduate Area, attaching the isolation certificate."


Therefore students must show up in person to take the exam otherwise will score 0-points, except those that test positive or are in prophylactic isolation. The latter cases may take the Exam in the Special Exam Season.

Equipment Return

For those that have in their possession any type of lab equipment (e.g., Aryzon, Quest, Quest 2, Pico) and are not willing/able to conduct a user study, we pledge you to return the equipment on February 15th (Tuesday) between 15h and 16:15h at Room F3 - Pavilhão de Informática I (Alameda Campus). 

Final lab evaluation grades will be provided, at the latest, by next Monday (Feb. 14th).

Exam - Last Chance to Pass the Theoretical Component!

Dear students,

Just a gentle remainder about the exam (regular season) that will take place next week at both Alameda and Taguspark campi:

- Where: Room F3 (Alameda, Pavilhão de Informática I) and Room 0-15 (Taguspark)

- When: February 15th at 15h30
- students must show up in person to take the exam otherwise will score 0-points (only those in (prophylactic) isolation can take the exam remotely but do need to inform Técnico's COVID services about their situation); 
- (According to the Pedagogical Council) "When Students are prevented from taking Exams because they test positive or are in prophylactic isolation, they will have the opportunity to take the Exams in the Special Exam Season, for which they must apply to the Graduate Area, attaching the isolation certificate."
- bring your laptop/smartphone and power adaptors (extension cords will be provided on site)
- just like the Quizzes, the exam will be made available through Moodle
- the exam will contain 40 multiple choice questions
- the exam will last 40 minutes
- the exam will cover topics from all 14 theoretical lessons
- each question has 4 choices
- each question answered correctly is worth 0.15 points
- penalty of -0.03 points for each wrong answer
- please note that this exam is the final opportunity for those to pass the theoretical component
- minimum theoretical grade required to pass the course: 2.85 in 6 points
- for those who have already passed the theoretical component via Quizzes, this exam is an opportunity to improve your grade (only the best grade counts)
