Robots need to move and act in the real world in a way that is understandable and allows users to socialize with the robot. This class was about the different ways that movement can be generated to convey social stances and make robots more social.

- “Follow Me: Communicating Intentions with a Spherical Robot” by Miguel Faria, Andrea Costigliola, Patrícia Alves-Oliveira and Ana Paiva
- “A Study on Trust in a Robotic Suitcase” by Beatriz Quintino Ferreira, Kelly Karipidou, Filipe Rosa, Patrícia Alves-Oliveira, Sofia Petisca and Ana Paiva
“How facial expression may influence the trust in a robot?”, Raul Benites Paradeda, Mojgan Hashemian, Rafael Afonso Rodrigues and Ana Paiva
