Under the option of continuous assessment, the final grade (FG) will result from a weighted average of a monograph (M), the laboratory work and report (L), the participation in a discussion of at least two projects/monographs in class (D) plus the results of the first test (T1) and the second test (T2), according to: 

FG = 0.30 M + 0.15 L + 0.20 T1 + 0.30 T2 +0.05 D

Students who are not successful in the continuous assessment have the alternative of the  exam, which gives 50% of the final grade:

FG = 0.50 E + 0.30 M + 0.15 L + 0.05 D

The minimum grade in the exam is 8.0. 

The final grade (FG) required for approval is 10 (rounded to the unit).
