I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in October 1976. I graduated in Information Systems and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisboa, in 2002, having my diploma with Automatic Personal Assistant (based on Speech Synthesis and Recognition), supervised by Professors João Paulo Neto and Luís Caldas Oliveira . I started my professional carrer in Spoken Language Laboratory (L2f) of INESC-ID. After one and a half year I started in INOV - Inesc Inovação. 

I completed approximately 15 years of experience in multi modal interfaces, from classic telephony services to modern directory assistance service, voice and written natural language technologies integration, mobile devices based services, content management platforms, content recommendation and personalization. I am a Project Manager in several national and european projects for public administration and private entities. 

In 2015 I finished my MSc. on Recommendation Systems - Information Systems and Computer Engineering with the thesis Contextual Food Recommendation Through Factorization Machines supervised by Professors Bruno Martins and Pável Calado also in Instituto Superior Técnico of Lisbon University.
