Telecommunications Systems are essential to meet the sustainability and economic challenges of the future. The development of these systems, whether based on mobile communications, optical fibers, or satellites, allow the support of IoT, autonomous vehicles, virtual reality, and games, as well as remote work and healthcare applications. 

The course on Telecommunications Systems is focused on fundamental systems in the current communications scenario, notably radiocommunications, optical communications and multimedia systems, including their regulatory, technological, and operational aspects.

It can be attended by the students of the 3rd year of LEEC, as a pre-major, or as a free elective course by the students of MEEC, as well as by the students of all the other degrees of  a 2nd cycle of studies, at IST.
