Diffusion as transport process. A random walk through the complex mollecular modelling of diffusion - the 1D case. Extension to 2D and 3D. The empirical diffusion modelling: Fick's law and diffusion equation. The convection-diffusion equation (inclusion of advection term in the diffusion equation).
