Collection of expressions of interest for support to teaching at DEEC in the academic year 2024-2025.

1. CALL SCOPE

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) at IST ensures the provision of a wide range of curricular units that are part of the training plans of several Bachelor's and Master's programs at Instituto Superior Técnico.

To strengthen teaching capacity, DEEC regularly relies on human resources to support teaching, on a temporary basis, in curricular units close to its areas of expertise.

This call aims to systematize the collection of information from candidates who may provide support to teaching in the educational offerings of DEEC.

2. CANDIDATE PROFILE

We aim to identify candidates with a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related fields, with an interest in collaborating in teaching activities, with relevant academic and/or professional performance for the teaching areas of DEEC, and who fit the following conditions:

1. • Bachelor's students or those transitioning to the Master's program in 2024/2025;
2. • Master's students;
3. • Doctoral students;
4. • Doctoral Researchers;

5. • Professionals with relevant experience in the field of teaching and appropriate academic training.

The type/duration of the contract to be concluded will be defined later, individually, and based on the experience, academic qualifications, and contractual conditions of the candidates. The possibilities are:

i) - Contracts as teaching assistants (6 hours per week);

ii) - Course credits under the "teaching support" UC of the Doctoral program or equivalent in the Master's courses of DEEC;

iii) - Fixed-term contracts as invited assistants / invited assistant professors, with the dedication to be defined or under Article 32 of the ECDU (without remuneration).
