Método de Avaliação:  


Standard:


Serão efectuados três testes (cf https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/CAI51795/2017-2018/1-semestre/avaliacao) e 7 "ensaios". 

O terceiro teste incidirá sobre toda a matéria do curso 

Os "ensaios" serão (quinzenais*) e correspondem desde relatórios sobre as demonstrações laboratoriais(**) até a "proposta de soluções" para problemas industriais indicados 

Essays should be no longer that 6-8 pages (typically 4, excluding front matter), A4, pdf format, character size 10-11, in academic language with up to date references as needed. 
Essays are classified in the values 8-12-14-16-18 points. 


Classificação final como o máximo de 

20% T1 + 20% T2 + 35% T3  + 25% W 

ou    

20%  (T1 or T2) + 55% T3 + 25% W 

onde Ti é a classificação dos testes 
W a média ponderada dos trabalhos 

(*) Em caso de força maior a data poderá ser alterada. 

(**) Serão propostos enunciados alternativos para trabalhadores estudantes.

Um trabalho (45%) + (55%) T3


Essay about one of  themes on the syllabus, describing the 'State of art' of the current technology, and their current, and expected future industrial applications, in academic language :  Portuguese ("Português academico") english (Academic english), with suitable references. Preferably in Latex (files and layout provided)

There are three tests (time and dates at (https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/CAI5179/2016-2017/1-semestre/avaliacao) and 7 "essays". 

Third test will include all the syllabus taught trough the course

"Essays" are (usually) to be due in a fortnight(*) and relates from report from the lab demonstrations (**) to"solution proposal" for some sort of industrial problems.  
Essays should be no longer that 6-8 pages (typically 4, excluding front matter), A4, pdf format, character size 10-11, in academic language with up to date references as needed. 
   Essays are classified in the values 8-12-14-16-18 points. 
Essays (unless stated) can be in groups of two.  
Final mark: maximum of 

20% T1 + 20% T2 + 35% T3  + 25% W 

or 

20%  (T1 or T2) + 55% T3 + 25% W

Ti are the marks from the tests 
W is the weighted average from the essays 
(*) Dates are versatile, as to not interfere with other courses or tests.
