Labs Update

30 março 2021, 07:43 Luís Antunes Veiga

Dear students,

To make some progress through the holidays (as classes started later this semester), the Labs Section has been updated with the java bytecode instrumentation tool that we are going to use in the project with AWS APIs.

During the week, check them, try to go through the examples and instrumentation and check the simple Java code for instrumentation and analysis (akin to pin).

Good work.

Lab Group Enrolment

6 março 2021, 18:12 Luís Antunes Veiga

Dear students, Lab enrollment will be opened Monday March 8, at 10:00, to give everyone enough notice.

Based on the final assessment of enrolled students, we have students to evenly fill all the lab shifts initially reserved for the course in each campus.

As informed earlier, the official policy needs to be that:
- students follow the course in their campus of enrolment (lectures, labs, project, exam) with the capacity allocated (every group must have an official shift) based on pre-enrolment information.
- groups with two elements from one campus and another element from the other campus may enroll (provisionally) on the campus of the majority of group members (e.g., Group with 2 Alameda students and 1 Taguspark student may enol in an Alameda shift).

This is based on the best information available, provided by you, and in trust that this activity goes smoothly. We reserve the right to manual intervention for fairness.

Overall, we strive to keep shifts balanced (i.e., having neither more crowded shifts nor shifts with very few groups). This makes the most of the lab time for everyone and enables all students to watch similar number of papers in paper presentations.

We ensured that at least Lab shift Wed 18h00 (AL) and Lab shift Fri 16h30 (TP) have no relevant collisions with other schedules. So, please enroll your groups.

As a helper to you, students without group and incomplete groups can enroll in the "incomplete-groups" information available in the Labs Section, so that other colleagues can use that page to complete those groups.

Additionally, you may use the course CNV-20-21 discord server to communicate (see Labs/Discord Server in the course web page).

Students that completed project from last year should email us for confirmation!

Good work,

Team-CNV-20-21

PS: In the lectures, space permitting, everybody is welcome all the time in any campus.

PPS: any issue, mail the course e-mail address. we will try to address them later in order.
