Lecture notes

Several tutorials on boosting, and a tutorial on support vector machines (SVM), are now available in the "lecture notes" section of this page.

The recommended reading for classification and regression trees is Chapter 9 of the book by Hastie, Tibshirani, and Friedman, available at http://statweb.stanford.edu/~tibs/ElemStatLearn/
