Dear Students, 

After a complicated process of deliberation, the schedule for the course converged to the following:

Monday, 12:00 - 13:30;
Tuesday, 14:30 - 16:00.

Unless otherwise noted, the lecture will be in the same room (LT4), although I am trying to find a larger room.

Welcome to the 2023 edition of the Statistical Learning course at IST. 

Next Friday, February 24, at 15:00, there will be a meeting where I will give some information about the course and, more importantly, where we will decide on the schedule of the course.   

The meeting will be in a room (I will let you know which room on Thursday) on the 4th floor of the North Tower of IST, but there will also be a Zoom link for those who cannot attend on that day. 

The lectures will start on the following week, on the schedule that will be decided on Friday.

If any of you cannot attend the meeting on Friday, please let me know by email about any time slots in which you are regularly unavailable.  I will try to take those constraints into account when deciding the schedule, although, of course, I cannot offer any guarantees.
