STEP 1: LEARNING SPACE PROFILE

General characterization of the learning space considering the description of: 

  1. type of learning space/learning mode/pedagogy; 
  2. setting (location; site and surroundings; building; relationship with other spaces); 
  3. intended occupancy (type of activities; frequency; duration); 
  4. intended users (nature of users; frequency; permanence); 
  5. spatial layout (zoning; spatial relationships; related activities); 
  6. constructive features (type of construction, main construction systems; floor, wall, ceiling, doors, windows: finish, appearance, materials, colours); 
  7. environmental conditions: light, ventilation, acoustics, air quality (humidity, temperature);
  8. equipment and furniture; 
  9. operational issues (responsibility for allocating resources related to maintenance and repairs)
