CIEEE

From 2007 to 2010, his research activities on electrical engineering subjects were conducted under the sponsorship of the CIEEE - Center for Innovation in Electrical and Energy Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico (UTL), where he worked with the Group: Applied Electromagnetics and Electronic Devices.

There, he devoted his time and effort to research activities focused on:

  • the determination of magnetic fields produced by high-voltage overhead power lines.
  • the application of the harmonic expansion method to the analysis of proximity effects.
  • the development of an accurate model of power inductor windings at high-frequency regimes based on multiconductor transmission-line theory.
  • the experimental evaluation of the permittivity and conductivity of a dielectric rod inserted in a multiconductor cage-like device.
  • the development of a novel theoretical approach of the ring resonator above a dielectric over a ground plane.
  • the analysis and experimental determination of the constitutive parameters of shielded and unshielded multiconductor cables.
  • the evaluation of the electric and magnetic parameters of high-voltage three-conductor bundles in flat and triangular configuration, where proximity and skin effects were accounted.

As a result of his research, 19 papers were published in peer-reviewed journals.
