Dear RT students,
Thank you to those that have already submitted their reports. All those that I checked look very insightful and constructive. Well done!! I have also received some kind emails requesting a deadline extension. This is also perfectly normal and kind of you whenever you're reviewing a paper. Letting the editor or senior program committee member as soon as possible about any delay on your side is the right thing to do. Usually (as in our case), this is not a problem. I'll leave the submission system open until Friday evening. Please let me know if you need additional time.
It is also a good time to prepare for our workshop and your presentations. Instead of creating an entire programme from scratch (which may not fit your constraints), I suggest adopting a self-organized programme for this year's workshop. To this end, please add your name and title to one of the empty yellow cells in the spreadsheet available here. If possible, please try to fill up a slot close to the topics close to you. We will see if we get some self-organized assortment of similar research topics. Afterwards, I will assemble a final programme following as closely as possible your preference.
The title of your talk may differ from the title of your paper. Please feel free to adapt it to make it more appealing. The workshop will be online with the use of Zoom (usual link — see here). Each talk should take 12-14 minutes, leaving a few minutes for questions from the audience.
Some of you have already alerted me of some competing commitments next week. If it is impossible for you to participate in our workshop, please send me an email. We will find a way out. For instance, those that cannot participate should create a video of a presentation which be made available on our course's webpage, being only accessible to this year's RT students. I hope you agree with this alternative. Those students opting for a video talk should not add their names to the spreadsheet.
Thank you so much for your help!!
Kind regards,
Francisco
