Grades for short quiz questions and course projects

The grades for the answers to the short quiz questions have been published online. Students should contact Prof. Bruno Martins for any questions regarding these exercises.
Note that the course projects should be delivered in the next few days, so that the public presentations can still take place before the period for the publication of grades for 1st semester courses (8 February 2016). The process associated to the delivery and defense of the TI course projects, along with the involved documentation, is published on the course webpage. Students should again contact Prof. Bruno Martins for any question regarding the course project.

Regulars classes for the TI course

The last of the introductory lectures, which will address the subject of presenting research work at conferences and scientific workshops, will take place on Thursday, October the 29th, at FCUL and in room 6.3.38 (i.e., building C6 / 3rd floor / room 38).
We therefore have that the class planned for October the 22nd will not take place, instead mooving to the week afterwards.
After the series of introductory lectures, we will have a series of invited talks. Further information will soon be posted on the course website.
Students are also reminded that all the materials used in the introductory lectures are available from the course website. Students should also define their individual research projects, which account for 80% of the final evaluation, as soon as possible. Information regarding these projects was given in the first class, and is also available from the course webpage.
Second regular class for the TI course - Changes in course schedule

The 2nd regular class for the TI course (i.e., an introductory lecture on the subject of writing technical documents) will take place next Thursday, October the 8th, at FCUL and in room 6.3.38 (i.e., building C6 / 3rd floor / room 38).
First class of the semester

Next Tuesday, 15th September at 16h30 and in room VA1 at IST Alameda, we will have the first class of the semester, consisting of a brief introduction to the "Tópicos de Investigação" course. The course instructor will present the plan and the evaluation criteria. The slides to be used in this first class are already available from the course webpage.
The TI course is again co-organized between the Computer Science and Engineering Departments of IST and FCUL and, in this semester, the classes will take place at FCUL, respectively on Thursdays by 16h00 17h00, at room 8.2.12 6.3.38 (i.e., building C8 / 2nd floor / room 12). A course webpage is also available at FCUL: http://moodle.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/course/view.php?id=2352.
The Professor responsible for the course at IST, Bruno Martins, will keep office hours for attending IST students, on Mondays by 18h00. Students can also contact Bruno through his email address: bruno.g.martins@ist.utl.pt.
At FCUL, the responsible for the course is Professor Alysson Bessani: anbessani@ciencias.ulisboa.pt.
The first regular class will take place on October the 1st, at FCUL (in room 8.2.12).
