The Gene and Cell Therapy course starts on 21 April.A file with the schedule, evaluation, and programme is available at: https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/TGC23610/2025-2026/2-semestre/support-materials.All theoretical classes will be held at the Alameda campus (every Tuesday, 11:30–13:30, room QA1.3). The problem-based classes have one compulsory attendance per week (either Thursdays, 10:00–12:00 at the Alameda campus, room QA02.3; or Thursdays, 16:30–18:30 at the Tagus campus, room 0-15). On Friday, 29 May (08:00–11:30), and Friday, 5 June (08:00–11:30), there will be two final supportive classes to help complete your projects. Continuous assessment (40% of the total) will take place during the compulsory classes. You should form groups of 4 students for the different moments of continuous evaluation. Preferably, you should have different groups for each evaluation, with students from diverse backgrounds, as this will strengthen the group’s knowledge and help fulfil the learning and evaluation outcomes. To balance the number of students in each shift, please let us know by 22 April which shift you intend to attend. This course requires sound knowledge of cell, molecular, and tissue biology and engineering, genetics and genomics, production and purification of biomolecules, and cells. With this in mind, please now consider whether this course suits your background and availability. Do not hesitate to contact us if you require further information or clarification.
