Cellular/Gene Therapy for Cancer

17 maio 2019, 15:00 Cláudia Lobato da Silva

Cancer and therapeutic strategies. Immunotherapy. Stem cell-based therapies to fight cancer.

Hands-on project: Engineering stem cells to fight cancer. The students were organized in 5 groups. Each group selected a recent, non-review paper related to one of the topics (one topic per group):
1) Genetic engineering of stem cells to secrete anticancer proteins
2) Genetic engineering of stem cells to induce cancer cell death
3) Stem cells as nanoparticle carriers
4) Stem cells loaded with oncolytic virus
5) Exosomes
