I have added a long time series (obtained in the laboratory by one of my collaborators) that you can analyse to prepare the laboratory work. It consists of the instantaneous streamwise velocity signal measured at a given point in a turbulent flow. Try to compute the mean and root-mean square velocity from this signal.
