The course Advanced Topics in Information Systems offers three modules, as follows:

  • Fall Semester
    • Module "Business Information Systems" - This course aims to present a state of the art and emergent research challenges within the conceptual systems modeling in the domain of business information systems, focused on: (i) Systemic Theory and Conceptual Modeling, (ii) Advances in Requirements Engineering, (iii) Enterprise Ontology and Enterprise Engineering, (iii) Information Systems Strategy and Governance, (iv) Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Cartography
    • Module "Business Processes Management" - This course aims to present a state of the art and emergent research challenges within the business process management domain, such as: (i) Process Mining, (ii) Business Process Automation, (iii) Graph Mining, and (iv) Adaptive Workflow.
  • Spring Semester
    • Module "Information Systems Technology" - This course aims to present a state of the art and emergent research challenges within the generic domain of technology for information systems, focused on: (i) data management and processing (database technology, data integration and ETL, etc.), (ii) data analysis (information filtering and extraction, batch and streaming data analysis, etc.)
