2nd exam (optional for the student that were previously approved)

Dear students of Organic Synthesis at Industrial Scale

If you wish to make the evaluation next week (2nd exam, 21/07/2022 to 18:00 (Q4.7) you MUST enrol yourself in the Fenix system. If you had been approved, you do not need to come, unless you want to try to upgrade your mark.

Dear student Thank you for being enrolled in the unit! I sincerely hope that I was able to teach you some subjects that you might find useful in your future. I did my best to transmit all my experience in the field. That was my main goal. As you should have noticed, I tried to keep the evaluation as smooth as possible, but its fundamental role cannot be denied. I devoted lots of time in the evaluation of your work to be as fair as possible. Dear students Exam was quoted for 21 (group 1 66% total + group 2 34% total) and carefully corrected twice. The grades for the monographies will be available very soon. Regards PPS

Information for the exam

Dear students 

Some useful information:
a) Your exam will be Thursday 05/05 at 18h00 (V1.14; civil eng building) until 20h00
.b) We will run the extra class Monday at 14h00 via zoom (link sent by email).
c) I have just uploaded two files that might be useful for the exam.

d) Remember: you can bring any PRINTED material for the exam!
e) I will now start the correction of your monographies but will publish the classifications all at the same time. This allows me to compare your monographies and to be as fair as possible. You will receive an email when available.

Dear students

1) As you know, the deadline for your monography is 25th of April but, if you need, you can have some more days to complete it. Final deadline 28th April. Please upload your monography in the drive.

2) You need to come to the exam (05/05/2022 at 18:00, V1.14) and have a minimum rate of 8 (out of 20) to have approval in this unit. You can bring any printed material for the exam.

I will upload solution for the exercises soon and we will have a zoom session on 2th May at 14H00.

EVALUATION

Best of:

–Short Monography (max 20 pgs, graphical predefined format) 70%

15% literature search (March 28) + 15% plan + outline of monography (April 4) + 40% final monography (April 25)

–Written Exam 30% (normal season, May 2 to May 6) (with use of any written material) Minimum rate 8 (of 20)

Or 

(Short Monography, 40%) + (Written Exam 60%) 

 

- Appeal Season Written Exam 100% (July 18 to July 22)

 

–Approval > 9.5 values (9.5 / 20)
