On Tuesday, May 19th, at 11h00, the seminar “A Case Study of the Pitu Discovery, Potiguar Basin, Brasil” will be held, presented by Mr.Spencer Quam, from Galp Energia.

Venue: Room Fa1, Informatics Building, IST - Alameda Campus

Spencer Quam is currently Chief Geologist at Galp Energia.  He has a BSc in Geology from Western Illinois University, MSc in Geophysics from Stanford University, and an MBA from St. Mary´s College of California, all in the USA and during the Pleistocene.  Thirty six year career includes experience gained with Chevron, BHPBilliton, Sasol, Qatar Petroleum, and now GalpEnergia. Worked on Exploration and Development hydrocarbon projects in North America (USA, Canada), Austral-Asia (Australia, PNG, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan), Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Gabon, Congo, Angola, South Africa, Mozambique), Middle East (Qatar, UAE), South America (Brazil, Uruguay, Trinidad) and Europe (UK, Portugal).  Current focus is on GalpEnergia Exploration portfolio on the Atlantic rifted margin and Global New Ventures.
