Invited lecture

9 dezembro 2009, 17:22 Rodrigo Ventura

December 17th the theoretical class will be given by an invited lecture by Matthijs Spaan, on POMDP (Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes), addressing the theoretical aspects of POMDP, as well as their applications in robotics.

Matthijs Spaan has defended his PhD thesis on the subject of POMDP and their application to autonomous robots. He is now a full-time researcher at ISR/IST.

Lab project: Important Dates

17 novembro 2009, 10:46 Rodrigo Ventura

Due to the holidays in December, in the lab classes of 24-Nov and 15-Dec every group will present its progress report.

The final report for the project should be delivered by 14-Dez, by email in PDF format, to both professors. The rules are: 6-pages, paper-like format, sane font size and margins.

The 15-Dez session will be considered  the final presentation, where groups are expected to explain their approach to the project.

The demo day for all the projects is 18-Dec, where groups should demonstrate their project working.

In summary:

  • paper deadline: 14-Dec
  • final presentation: 15-Dec
  • demo day: 18-Dec
