This project was one of the most enjoyable university experiences I’ve had. Despite not having worked with my teammates before, we developed a strong bond and friendship while creating an exciting and impactful project.....The Vehicular Networks course offered a unique learning environment, balancing minimal theoretical work with creative freedom and hands-on development. I appreciate Professor support, both in providing valuable knowledge and lending materials for our project.

This was the one project in Tecnico I had the most fun doing! Everyone was excited to make it work and solve the chosen problem, which is one I myself have been through and I know many other people who have as well. I learned a lot about Vehicular networks and what this field can contribute to a brighter future. The development of the business part was a good part of the process where we had to think why people would want to use our solution and how we can make a solution appealing to the general public.

I believe that my way of thinking ‘outside the box’ developed significantly throughout this course, as the professor required it, and I find that very important for a future engineer. As for this course, I only found one major issue, which was the time available. I believe that if it were possible to have more time for the final project, it would allow us to develop more elaborate work.

Overall this course is one of my favorites that I have studied and been a part of throughout my time at university. It is great idea to give students freedom in choice with their ideas and to guide and help them rather than to direct. I am also super fortunate to have had such a great team to work alongside and I am very aware that they have definitely improved my experience. With that being said, the course is well structured, it is great idea to have the first few weeks teaching us the basics and core concepts before letting us start our projects, and also I loved that most of the teaching was done through hands on experience with the lab problems. Although I was slightly confused at the start with the way of teaching as it is not the typical approach that I have found at university, I actually came to really enjoy it and I think getting students out of their comfort zones really worked for me personally as by the end I was more than happy to present. The only suggestion that I would have would be to have more time to work on the project, but that is hard with Tecnicos semester format.

I loved being part of this project and I really liked the way this course is structured. The approach adopted not only motivates students to develop something useful for society, but also provides them with valuable teamwork experience in the context of real projects. In addition, the way assessment is carried out is extremely engaging, avoiding being boring or excessively formal. This model encourages students to attend classes motivated, since they do not feel the constant pressure of traditional assessment. Thus, they are able to produce higher-quality work, working at their own pace and focusing on progress and learning instead of worrying exclusively about grades.

My personal opinion is very much about how happy I was to have chosen this course, not only because in my mind it feels futuristic, but also because I am experiencing a new kind of learning. Since I came from another university, I had never had projects with this level of relevance nor opportunities of this kind, so I found it very interesting and even recommended it to my colleagues. As for the classes, I found this method very engaging, as they were dynamic and always went by very quickly, since we were always in the labs and developing the project.
