Notes about the Report of the Group-Work

The report should be no longer than 15 pages and should be structured like a paper. It should therefore include: abstract, introduction, main body, conclusions and references. An electronic version and a paper version should be  be provided.  The deadline for leaving the last one in the “secretaria da Área Científica de Telecomunicações” (room 4.08, 4th floor Nortth Tower)  is December 21.

• The idea of the presentations is to show practical applications for the concepts presented in the classes. In this way, the starting point to prepare your presentations or your questioning is to study the related topics presented in the classes. The questions completely disconnected with those topics should be avoid (they can harm your mark).

• The duration of the presentation should be about 20 minutes (don’t exceed this time) and should be concentrated in the most import aspects of the topic. The details are to be presented in the report.

• The source of the figures that are not original should be indicated, the slides numbered, and the presentations should be terminated with a conclusion slide.

The group-works presentations will start this week. If possible send to me as well as to arguing group a copy of the slides in the day before the presentation. In the case of being necessary  I  can provide the e-mail address of the arguing group.

Notes about the presentations of the Group-Works

• The list of the presentation and arguing groups is already available in Section  Group-Work/Groups.

• The duration of the presentations will be about 20 minutes (about 20 slides) and should summarize the essential aspects of the work. To prepare the presentations besides analyzing the references the students must be knowledgeable of the subjects presented in the classes regarding the topic.

• The argumentation should not exceed 10 minutes and a minimum of three questions should be placed.  The arguing group must also be knowledgeable of the subjects presented in the classes regarding the topic.
