Revision of the 1st Exam

The revision of the 1st Exam will take place on Friday, 6th May, 14:00 at INESC.

Vodafone Prize: Clarification

In order to be effectively eligible as candidate for the prize, both group members must pass in the 1st Exam (i.e., to have a mark of at least 9,5).

Projects Selected for the Vodafone Prize

A lot of projects presented by the students deserved to become candidates to the Vodafone prize. Unfortunately, Vodafone prize only accepts 10 candidates. As such, we had to define a threshold below which the projects will not be selected. This threshold was 18.6, which, at this time,  allows precisely 10 projects to contend. The selected projects are those belonging to the following groups:


- G1
- G7
- G8
- G13
- G15
- G19
- G20
- G21
- G22
- G26

In case some groups turn out not to be eligible (e.g., at least one member does not pass in the 1st exam), or choose not to contend for some reason, the selection criteria may be revised. 

Projects: Grading

The grading of the projects is now published. In order to have some quantitative rules for the grading, a number of criteria were defined, together with the respective weights:


- Functionality: Fraction of the system that was shown to work correctly during the discussion, as well as configuration flexibility (e.g., dynamic thresholds and other parameters).
- Could Storage: Fraction of relevant information that was permanently stored in the cloud.
- Creativity: Used more than minimum assets? Used all the requested assets? Included extra items/artifacts for additional realism?
- Presentation/PPT: All requested slides present? Slide formatting and aesthetics? 
- Autonomy: Were there any problems faced by the students that they could have debugged/solved by themselves, but instead asked the professors for help? 

Exam: Room Assignment

The students are asked to attend the exam at the room that was assigned to them (either F3 or F4).
