Dear Network Science students,

After our brief overview of last Monday (slides available online), tomorrow (Sept. 22) we will i) briefly review basic concepts related to computational complexity and ii) get into the most standard global and local network measures. These topics will offer the necessary motivation to get into more sophisticated algorithms and data structures which will be discussed in the following classes.

Unfortunately, next Monday (Sept. 25) we will not have our class. We sincerely apologize for this. We will replace this class later on. Thus, next week, we will only have classes on Sept. 29th. We are truly sorry. In any case, we will remain available during the week to discuss any specific question you may have.

As we discussed last Monday, our labs start on Oct. 2. Until then you may assemble in groups of 2 or 3 students and register in one of the available labs. Registration will be open from Friday, Sept. 22 (15:45, after our class) until Sept 29 (19:00).

Hope it helps!

Best regards,
Francisco and Alexandre.
