Starting from November 12th, we will be back to the theoritical lectures in the classrooms (C9, GA2, E5).
In the week before that time, we continue the work on Task 3 in the student room.

For Task3, you can present tables with:
(a) Final dimensions of the jacket structural components, i.e., external diameter and thickness of each jacket element (or of each set of jacket elements);
(b) Reactions at support points, similar to results presented in Task 1; and
(c) Stress ratios  for each jacket element. The stress ratios are the results of code check form given on page 12 of the Project I Specification (OceanPlatforms_Project1_Rev 1.pdf).

Please noted that the calculations have to be done manually or with Excel, Mathcad etc.

For the environmental loads, you can apply 8 cases of the 8 directions, or apply only 2 of them considering the symmetry:
Case a: Direction 0deg  100yr Wave + 100yr Wind + 10 year Current;
Case b: Direction 45deg  100yr Wave + 100yr Wind + 10 year Current;

Regarding the wind profile, you can check GeniE example A10.

Regarding the 200 tons weight of anodes, you can model it as line loads, defined as 200tons*g/L, where L is the sum of all submerged nembers.

Please be reminded that you need to submit also a zip file of your folder of workspace, together with the report.
