Groups of 3 for the project

As only a few students contact me to help them finding a group of 3 for the OOP project and the project description will be only available on March 29th, I will join these students in groups only on April 1st.

So, students, who already have group should start enrolling in the project group tomorrow, March 9th. A final decision for the others will be sent by email on April 1st.

Any student that cannot form a group should email the teacher as soon as possible (if not already emailed).

Next lecture (March 8) will be an in-lecture exercise, that is, I will solve with you an exercise in java within Eclipse IDE.

Lectures start February, 15th

  • Check the planning in the course web page: Lectures' section.
  • If foreign students are enrolled, OOP lectures will be held in English.

Laboratories start February, 22nd

  • Check the planning in the course web page: Laboratories' section.
  • Labs need registration via fenix in the Groups' section.
    • Lab works are done in groups of 2.
    • Registration starts February 18th (9:00).
    • Registration policy is ATOMIC, and so only groups of 2 are allowed.
    • Any student that cannot form a group should email the teacher until 17th of February (14:00). In that case the teacher will help finding a student that also does not have a group mate and wants to register in the same shift.
    • Students not registered in a group will not be allowed to attend laboratories.
    • Students are not allowed to attend a laboratory they did not register for. This applies to all semester.
  • Lab evaluation is done individually, each student in each lab PC, in the first hour of the lab.
  • Usually lab classes are spoken in Portuguese. Labs attended by foreign students are spoken in English.

Project

  • OOP project is done in groups of 3.
  • Project needs registration via fenix in the Groups' section.
    • Registration starts March 9th (9:00) and ends April 1st (18:00).
    • Registration policy is ATOMIC and allows for groups of 3 students.
    • Any student that cannot form a group should email the teacher until March 7th (14:00).
