This is to announce that the course will be prolonged until the end of October. Until then, you need to fulfil the following two requirements:

- Attend three research talks in broad CS topics. Those of you who attended the talks that we announced here in February and March have successfully concluded this requirement. The remaining students will have a chance to fulfil this requirement by listening to their choice of Turing Lectures online ( https://amturing.acm.org/lectures.cfm ) and writing a half page summary / critique of each lecture. 

- Attend the PhD open days event, which is expected to take place in the last week of October (please mark this week on your calendars). In this event, you are required to present a poster, which you must upload to this course website, and also attend all of the tutorials/workshops that are associated with the event.
