Project Grades
Presentation Grades

I have graded each presentation on a scale A-F. Then I have mapped those grades on numerical values. This mapping is somehow artificial, but aims at ensuring that a group that did a better job (from my perspective) can see a noticeable (even in small) difference in the impact on the final grade.

Some suggestions to improve your presentations in the future:

  • Make sure you start by motivating the work: What problem is it solving? What is clever about it? Why should your audience care?
  • Do not delve into the details before giving first a high-level overview of the entire system.
  • Do not attempt to describe all the mechanisms in detail: stick to the key novel features of the paper.
Thanks for the effort you have put in these presentations.
