6 outubro 2021, 16:29 João Coelho Garcia

The new "Paper Presentations" section has a list of all the papers to be presented as well as a calendar for the presentations. Starting tomorrow, Thursday October 7th at 9:00 (and not before), please email me (joao.c.garcia@tecnico.ulisboa.pt) stating in order of preference which paper you would like to present. List papers from the lab where your group is enrolled. If any of those is not possible, I will email you back for further options. There are 7 papers per lab for now. An additional paper will be added to the list if necessary.

Enrollment in Lectures, Labs and Project Groups

24 setembro 2021, 17:13 João Coelho Garcia

There are as of now, further individual slots available in both lectures and labs. These should be enough for all students to enroll.

Furthermore, starting tomorrow, Saturday 25th September, at noon, you will be able to enroll in groups of 3 students in the project and paper presentation groups.

DAD involves making a group programming project and a presentation of a scientific paper. You will do both with the same group.
Groups are associated to specific labs but you will only be required to attend the lab where your group is enrolled once: for the paper presentation. The project intermediate checkpoint will also have an evaluation in the lab where each group is enrolled but for that the presence of all groups members is not needed.

You may attend weekly a lab where you are not enrolled. Most of the times the labs have capacity to accommodate everyone who shows up.

It is essential that you enroll with a 3 student group quickly. There is an incomplete group page (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vdyqTeVvDV0zknkXtrOZmGKC0iqT_O2HHogzsqBKA34/edit?usp=sharing) where you can add your name or the name of a pair of student and you can find colleagues to contact and add to your groups. At the end of the first week, we will create groups out of all the students that haven't solved the issue by themselves at that point.
