Exam & MAP recovery: instructions

The Normal Season Exam / MAP recovery will take place next Thursday, Jan. 22. The program will be covered as follows:
MAP1 recovery (60 min)
- Ray optics
- Wave optics
- Beam optics
- Optical resonators
MAP2 recovery (60 min)
- Light-matter interaction
- Laser amplifiers
- Lasers and laser pulses
- The structure of laser pulses
Exam (120 min)
- All the topics above
Note that these topics differ slightly from the original MAP1 and MAP2.
The exam will be written in English (to be answered in English or Portuguese) and consist of problems / exercises. All study elements for the test (slides + exercise series) are already available.
You should bring an IST exam sheet and writing material. A list of formulas will be distributed together with the test. No other reference elements are allowed.
