Métodos de Avaliação
The evaluation will be performed exclusively through written tests or exams. Those tests/exams will be performed online via a zoom session in which students will be required to be filming themselves for the whole duration of the test or, if that will in the future be allowed, with all the students in one room at IST. All the students will be allowed to attend the second exam, which will be on July 13 from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Each student must choose whether (s)he wants to perform the first exam, which will be on June 23 from 3 PM to 6 PM, or two tests. The first test will be on May 14 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM and the second test will be on June 23 from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. The first test will focus exclusively on the first two parts of the course,i.e. up to the end of the Standard Model, while the second test will focus exclusively on the third part of the course, i.e. New Physics. (New Physics starts at the end of "CP violation" and before "Neutrino masses").
All the students will be allowed to perform the first test and, later on, each student will have to inform the professor whether (s)he wants to perform the second test or, alternatively,(s)he prefers to be evaluated exclusively through the first exam.
During the tests/exams each student will be allowed to consult any written material that they have with them. Thus, in principle, nothing has to be learned by heart. Students may bring to the tests/exams any books, notes, solved exercises, or whatever that they wish. A pocket calculator will not be necessary.
