the exm will be on monday, but as it is online, i will leave it open for a couple of days to answer (as many of you have a conference on monday)

You don´t need to study, you can use the slides and videos to answer the exam.

Dear all, 


i just uploaded the slides of the last classes, including the links for OSEMOSYS.

Regarding the evauation i would liek to propose the following:

 - the exame it will be done online using google forms. I suggest to do the exam on June 29th at 18H (monday). You can use whatever information you want (slides, reports, info). It will take 1 hour.

- the project can be delivered up July 3rd. The project is about using EnergyPlan or OSEMOSYS and propose a vision of the Portugal Energy System for 2050 (it can be electricity only). The project delivery is the files of energy plan (distribution files and the system file) and a presentation with the following information (suggested size: 5 slides): 

1 - Model of 2019 - reproduce the 2019 data from REN and make a table that compares the 2019 results of demand and generation (power plants, renewables, storage, inports/exports)  with the ENergy Plan results. Errors bellow 10% are OK, especially, in the storage and imports/exports .

2 - Model of 2050-Demand: Describe the demand distribution you use and the assumptions behind it. Compare it with the Low Carbon national plan for 2050. The main goal is to achieve 0 emissions in 2050. You may focus on one sector only (transports, industry, builings)

3 - Description of the system (technology options you consider: H2, batteries, etc...)

4 - Results: installed capacity of the different generation and storage capacities , the energy mix. Consider sensitivity analysis (wet years, dry years)

5 - Main Conclusions

Additional comments put them in the notes of the presentation.

The video describes the exercise for modeling the electric system ONLY of the Madeira island for 2019. The idea is that you repeat the exercice for Portugal mainland with the available data for 2019 and from that you include other sectors (transports, industry) and model the problem for 2050.
