What is a poster?
visual means of presenting the main results and conclusions, with a utterly concise summary of the motivation, objectives, and research strategyHow does the presentation goes?
you'll be standing next to the poster, people will pass by and ask you about what you have learned with your work and discuss key results. To introduce your work to those who will see it for the first time, prepare a 60-second ‘speech’.Then, the discussion will go on the main results presented in the poster.Content (minimum)
title, identification of author(s), identification of supervisor(s), motivation, objective, experimental/computational methods (summarised), main results, conclusions, acknowledgements (in particular to colleagues from whom you obtained results or knowledge), references (max. 5)Layout
Paper Format A0, white background, maximum five images, minimum textFile format: PDF
Practical tips
software: canva or powerpointresize the document to A0 before starting (so that the resolution is maximum when printing)
test: print in A4 format and read at arm's length: if you can't read it, the audience won't be able to see it neither.
