Tomorrow's exam

You are allowed to bring one A4 sheet of paper of notes to the exam. Other than that just bring paper and pen. 

Grades will be posted Tuesday afternoon. You will be able to look at your exam the following day during office hours, at 11am. If you can not make it at that time write me an email in order to make an appointment.

Homework 3 - correction

Thank you to Eduardo for pointing out that my explanation of majority logic decoding of Reed-Muller codes in the lecture and in the notes was incorrect. My apologies for this.


The lecture notes have now been corrected. This affects the first problem in Homework 3 which has therefore been changed, and you may not turn it in with the homework if you prefer. I have also taken the opportunity to correct item (c) in the last question ("is one of the trivial MDS codes" has been replaced by the more accurate "is equivalent to one of the trivial MDS codes"). 

The deadline for turning in HW3 has been postponed to November 29th. You can send it to me by email but, please, in a single file, with readable handwriting, not a giant file (you can export to png to make it smaller) and until 4pm on Friday Nov 29th. 

Office hours
