Dear students,

The National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC) has an open research grant available to carry out physical modelling experiments and numerical modelling in Maritime Hydraulics and Works.

Discussion of the Practical Work (P1, P2 and P3)

Dear students,


The in-person discussion of the practical works will last a maximum of 50 min/group. 

All group members must attend to the discussion.

The objective is to discuss the work that you developed during P1, P2 and P3. 

All in-person discussions will take place near room 5.48.1. 

A final grade of the practical work (P1, P2 and P3) will be given at the end of the discussion and this grade can vary among the students within the group.

After having a look at the Treatment Plants and Fluvial Hydraulics exam dates, the schedule for HMW in-person discussion is as follows:

Group 1 - 19th January, from 9AM to 9.50AM
Group 2 - 19th January, from 10AM to 10.50AM
Group 3 - 15th January, from 10AM to 10.50AM
Group 4 - 19th January, from 11AM to 11.50AM
Group 7 - 19th January, from 12AM to 12.50AM
Group 6 - 19th January, from 2PM to 2.50PM
Group 5 - 19th January, from 5PM to 5.50PM
Group 8 - 19th January, from 6PM to 6.50PM
Group 9 - 15th January, from 11AM to 11.50AM

HMW Exam

Dear students,


The HMW Exam will take place next Monday, 19th January 2026 between 3.30PM to 5PM in room V1.06.

Registration is mandatory in the Fenix groups' section and it will be open until 16th January at 12AM.

To obtain approval or to improve your grade, you can either do the first part (Group HMW Exam - 1st Part), the second part (Group HMW Exam -- 2nd Part) or the full Exam (Group HMW Exam - 1st and 2nd Part).

Make sure you do your registration in the Fenix groups' section just after reading this announcement.

Technical visit to LNEC

We will have a technical visit to the Ports and Maritime Structures Unit of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC). This visit will take place tomorrow, 7th of January, between 4.30PM and 5.30PM.
