Dear all,

the final grades concerning the first exam, the Mooc and the lab will be posted next Friday 27th around lunch time.

Friday afternoon between 16 and 18, you can review the exam at IN+ (mechanics II Building). The review will proceed like this: you see your exam and you have to write a statement requesting the re-evaluation of the questions you think were not properly marked, justifying your request. You will have 5 minutes. The grade may DECREASE during the review process.

The final grades will be posted Friday evening.

Energy Management LAB / Last Week

11 dezembro 2016, 17:09 Carlos Augusto Santos Silva

Dear all,

This last week it is the week of the Energy Management Laboratory activity. Thank you all for your interest, almost 180 of you registered in the lab which is double of what i had anticipated.

The laboratory will take place during the problems class this week. As we had so many registrations and i made a mistake in the doodle configuration, i had to made some changes to the schedule, following the First In First Served rule. At the end, some of you will make the laboratory half an hour before or after what you have chosen and few of you one hour.

All the information related to the laboratory can be found in

https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/GEne5179/2016-2017/1-semestre/laboratory

Please confirm the schedule at

https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/downloadFile/1407993358851406/EnergyManagementLab-FinalSchedule.pdf

For the lab, please find the measurement protocol at

https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/downloadFile/1407993358851401/MeasurmentProtocol.pdf

In the same area you will find the datasheet of some of the equipment that will be measured in the lab.

Rui Costa Neto <costaneto@tecnico.ulisboa.pt> will be managing the activity.

Please attend the lab in the designated schedule, register the results and then go to the online link

and fill in the form. Please just provide numbers (not the units) unless clearly specified for you to explain the results.

The LAB will take place at the entrance of IN+. IN+ is located in Mecanica II building. When you enter the building, go throigh the hall, walk for 30 meters and on your left, right after the bar, you will have stairs to the first floor.  On the first floor, you will get to a small hall, with large wodden doors, with an IN+ logo on the left door.

I will be in India until Friday. Therefore, this week there will be no theory classes (monday or friday) nor problems classes. In january I will do problems classes (generic) before the exam.

Regarding the online activity, this week will be released the final question, equivalent to an exam question. The activity will be open until January 15th, so take your time to complete.

Probably i won´t be seeing most of you before January, so i would like to end this email by wishing you good holidays, merry Xmas, happy new year and finally thank you all!

Every group is different, but this year was really fun for me to teach this course. You guys were responsive, interested, participative, all in all, a very nice cohort!

Best regards

Carlos Silva
