Data for the yeast-based fermentations and new deadline for lab4B (UPDATED)

31 maio 2024, 13:31 Nuno Gonçalo Pereira Mira

Students,

You now have available all the data concerning the HPLC analysis of the fermentations. Pay attention to the following:

a. You should only consider the data concerning the RI results since we are not working with the UV-Vis data;
b. You have to find your samples that can be distributed in the different pdf files that were generated by the software during the analysis. Each group has results concerning 4 time-points and 3 strains which gives a total of 12 samples. Remember that at t=0 there is only glucose available in a total of 300 g/L (the one present in the media).
c. The files are organized for all the groups as wt (wild-type), E1 (mutant 1) and E2 (mutant 2). The strains are organized by increasing number (e.g. if you worked with strains 9 and 15, then E1 is 9 and E2 is 15);
d. You also have available the data concerning the samples for the calibration curves;
e. Since the results are only being published today the deadline for students to deliver part B of the report was moved to next FRI Jun7th. Note that you can always submit your work before that date.
f. I've updated the lab guide (see the section dedicated to lab4B) concerning the suggestions of how to handle the data (as agreed in class).
g. The samples that I measured the weights are also rendered available in the section dedicated to lab4B

Today, Mon Jun 3rd, I've updated the data for lab4B with the data that some groups reported to be missing from previous reports. Please make sure you have all your data and if something is missing let me know.
