2 - The objective of the project is to design a solar thermal system for a any application you want, using the design tool POLYSUN. Examples of possible projects are: domestic hot water supply for a house, domestic hot water and space heating, or even domestic hot water and pool heating. Single houses or multifamily houses projects are acceptable.

3 - The project consists of a report (up to 5 pages) where the following elements must be presents

5 - The project will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

A - Adequacy of the technical solution: 30%
B - Robustness of the solution based on the sensitivity analysis: 30%
C - Quality of Report: 40%

Dear all,
Next Tuesday, December 5th 2017, the class of solart thermal systems will take place on the roof of the Matematica/Physics Building.

The objective is for you to get acquainted with a real solar thermal system, checking its operation, learn to identify the components and evaluating the dynamics of the system.
The lab instructor willbe Rui Costa NEto and he will meet you at the entrance of the building.
The lab activity is not mandatory and will take one hour.

The students with student number bellow 88757 should come at 10H. The students with student number equal or above 88757 should come at 11 H.
